Under-inflated tires led to a Learjet crash 18 months ago that killed four people and seriously injured Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker and celebrity disc jockey DJ AM, federal safety investigators said, warning that the problem may be widespread on business jets.
Investigators told the National Transportation Safety Board at a public meeting Tuesday that their investigation found that operators of air charters often aren’t aware how rapidly the tires of some business jets can lose pressure and aren’t checking tire pressure frequently enough.

Settlement Approved For Widow, Son Of Assistant Killed In Fatal Travis Barker, DJ AM Jet Crash
A judge approved a multimillion-dollar legal settlement Tuesday involving the wife and young son of former Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker’s assistant, who was killed in a 2008 plane crash in South Carolina.
The settlement with Learjet Inc., Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. and other companies involved in the ownership, operation and making of the jet will pay for college for Chris Baker’s 3-year-old son and establish an annuity giving him more than $17 million over his lifetime.

Toxicology Report: Cocaine, OxyContin Found In DJ AM’s System; Death Ruled Accidental
DJ AM died accidentally from a lethal cocktail of prescription drugs and cocaine, the medical examiner’s office ruled Tuesday.
The toxicology report showed the 36-year-old had in his system cocaine, OxyContin, Hydrocodone or Vicodin, antianxiety drugs Xanax and Ativan, Klonopin which also controls anger, Benadryl, and Levamisole, a drug apparently used to cut cocaine.

Report: MTV Still Planning To Air DJ AM Intervention Reality Series
MTV is still moving forward with plans to air its intervention-style reality show featuring the late DJ AM, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, production on “Gone Too Far” was completed just three days before DJ AM – whose real name was Adam Goldstein – was found dead in his New York City apartment at the age of 36.
