Two years ago, several Golden Globe Awards after-parties raged at once at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, with movie and television stars co-mingling, braving the chilly night air and sometimes waiting in line for hours to get into lavishly decorated bashes.
On Sunday night, a year after the writers’ strike shut down the awards show ceremony and its onsite parties, the weather was much warmer and alcohol flowed again throughout a spate of shindigs at the hotel, though fewer than before and not quite so extravagant.

As Terrence Howard, Brooke Shields, Rainn Wilson and Elizabeth Banks announced the 66th Annual Golden Globe nominations in Beverly Hills on Thursday morning, several announcements may leave stars scratching their heads about being honored or skipped over this year.
The largest surprise of the morning came for Tom Cruise who earned a Globe nomination for best supporting actor for his almost unrecognizable role in the hit summer action comedy “Tropic Thunder.” Tom impressed audiences and the Hollywood Foreign Press Association with his manic and over the top comedic role as a Hollywood mogul.

Terrence Howard Talks Being Booted From ‘Iron Man 2’
Terrence Howard has spoken out publicly for the first time since learning his part in “Iron Man 2” had been recast.
In a new interview with National Public Radio, Howard admitted he was shocked when he heard the studio had replaced him with Don Cheadle in the sequel to “Iron Man.”
“It was the surprise of a lifetime,” Howard told NPR.
