LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
David Beckham doesn’t let himself go when the soccer season ends. So don’t fall off the workout wagon just because bikini season is over. Here are some tips to reinspire you to work out this Fall from Ronald Jean, a Private Trainer at the Sports Club/LA in Beverly Hills, who has trained – yes - David Beckham.
1. Post a picture on your bathroom mirror showing yourself at your best.
2. Post a picture on your refrigerator showing a body you want.
3. Establish and write down your specific goals for each week. Monitor your progress by weighing yourself and writing it down weekly.
4. Wear your skinny jeans! Don’t get used to wearing sweats.
5. Lose 10 lbs before the holidays. Most will put on five to ten pounds over the holidays, so lose it now and vow not to put it back on.
6. Sign up for outdoor charity events. You can walk or run that 5/10k more comfortably in the cooler Fall weather. And, feel good about contributing to a good cause.
7. Sign up for indoor events. As the days get shorter, move some of your outdoor activities inside by trying a variety of classes: group exercise classes such as indoor group cycling, indoor rowing, treadmill, aerobics, pilates or yoga.
8. Vow to try a new form of workout every week: weight training, walking, running, classes or swimming.
9. Work out with a friend. It will be more fun and will encourage you to keep a commitment.
10. Compete with a friend, family member or two. A little healthy competition never hurt! Establish a weigh-in start and end date. Be sure to choose a motivating prize for the winner!
11. Work out with a trainer. Learn correctly from the beginning or refresh your program. And, it will be more fun and will encourage you to keep a commitment.
