LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- I can’t believe it’s already December - where did the year go? I love everything about December and the holidays. Holiday decorations and tunes. Buying gifts. Eggnog. Peppermint Bark. Childhood TV classics like ‘A Charlie Brown Christmas,’ and ‘The Year Without a Santa Claus.’ (Confession: I am obsessed with ABC Family’s ‘25 Days of Christmas!’)

Here are my five Do’s and Don’ts for December.

1. DO……see ‘Nine.’ The new musical looks KILLER. The performances, the moves, the female power cast, including Kate Hudson, Nicole Kidman, Penelope Cruz and Fergie. Opens in select cities December 18 and wide on December 25th. Can’t wait until next year for your SJP and ‘Sex and the City’ fix? You can get a December dose of the actress in the comedy ‘Did You Hear About The Morgans?’ which opens December 18th.

2. DON’T……go broke for fashion. This month’s Cheap Chic entry comes courtesy of the ladies of Rodarte. Laura and Kate Mulleavy are the latest designers to team up with Target for an affordable line debuting December 20th. Look for girly cardigans, dresses, tops and denim jackets. www.target.com

3. DON’T……stress out. From the pressures of buying gifts to sending out cards to all the additional social activities, it’s easy to feel frenzied from all the holiday action. So make sure you find a way to decompress, whether it be getting a relaxing massage or hitting the gym. For me, laughter is always a surefire way to de-stress and it’s kind of ironic that during a month of so many parties, the movie ‘The Hangover’ hits DVD. Check it out Dec 15th.

4. DO……slow down and make sure you celebrate the true meaning of the season! Whether it’s Hanukkah, Christmas or Kwanza that you observe, take time to remember the true sentiment of the season.

5. DON’T……drink and drive. Enough said.
