LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
Move over George Michael! Katie Holmes will be testing out her singing pipes when she makes an appearance on “Eli Stone’s” second season, Access Hollywood has learned.
“I don’t think they were initially going to tell people, but she is singing and dancing on the show,” “Eli Stone” co-star Natasha Henstridge told Access Hollywood on Thursday. “I should say ‘Singing,’ I’m not sure about the dancing.”
Victor Garber, who plays Jordan Wethersby, the head of the legal firm Jonny Lee Miller’s character, Eli, works at, also confirmed the news to Access.
“She’s doing a lot,” Garber said of Katie’s singing. “There is a big musical number.”
Garber said Holmes has been a pleasure to have on set.
“She’s delightful,” he said. “We just did the read through the other day and she just fit in beautifully and was so unassuming. She’s perfect for this part. It’s a great thing for Jonny and Katie together in this episode. It’s magical.”
In fact, though the paparazzi swarmed as Holmes filmed scenes for the show in Los Angeles earlier this week, the actress kept her cool and fit in well with the “Eli Stone” gang.
“I wasn’t on the set the day Katie was there, but what I did hear… they went 16, 17, 18 hours, and she had not said a word, didn’t bat an eyelash,” Henstridge said. “She was so sweet. So it’s lovely to see somebody who really does have the capability to make people’s lives difficult to be so grounded and down to earth and she’s definitely that.”
