LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

Nicholas Prugo, one of seven young people arrested in the alleged “burglar bunch” Hollywood robberies that affected stars including Lindsay Lohan, Audrina Patridge, Paris Hilton and Megan Fox, “will be found to have played a very, very limited role,” his attorney told a producer of NBC’s “Today” show in a phone interview after canceling a planned on-camera appearance.

Prugo, 18, was the first to be arrested in the case, with the arrests of Courtney Ames, 18, Alexis Neiers, 18, Roy Lopez, 27, Diana Tamayo, 19 and Rachel Lee, 19, following his own. A range of charges have been filed against all but Lee. At a press conference on Tuesday, the LAPD stated they were after another suspect, Jonathan Ajar, and estimated the collective stolen property at over $2 million.

However, attorney Sean Erenstoft denied that any of the stolen items were in Prugo’s possession.

“My client has absolutely no possession of anyone else’s property,” he said. “Additional suspects were arrested, and a bunch of property was recovered from those people.”

Erenstoft would not comment on the alleged existence of the burglar bunch crime ring, though he stated that Prugo indeed does know many of his fellow suspects.

“What I can confirm is that Mr. Prugo is familiar with many of the co-defendants,” he said. “Has he been named a defendant, yes. But I’m only going to confirm that I am representing him in this high profile, very bizarre case… many details have yet to be revealed.”
