LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

People released its annual “Most Beautiful” issue on Wednesday, which includes 100 of the most stunning people from the worlds of film, television, music and politics.

Christina Applegate, 37, who graces the cover of the annual “Most Beautiful” issue, told the mag that her battle with breast cancer has given her a “feeling of purpose,” — along with a new lease on life.

The once-shy actress, who underwent reconstructive breast surgery last November, said she’s finally at a point in her life where she’s comfortable speaking her mind.

“I used to be really shy but I started to come into my own in my late 20s and early 30s,” she said. “Now I’m not afraid to speak up in a room full of people and be a part of the conversation.”

She said she credits boyfriend, Dutch bass player Martyn Lenoble, for helping to overcome life’s recent hurdles while making her feel “beautiful” about her new body.

“He’s been a friend for about 13 years. Our relationship gets stronger and stronger. I’m really lucky,” she told the mag. “I’m very grateful to Martyn for coming along at a time that he did because he’s been my rock through all of this. He gave me something to really want to live for and something to smile about.”

Christina was just one of the many stars selected for the striking good looks.

Christina Aguilera, Angie Harmon, Milla Jovovich and NBC’s the “Today” show co-anchor Natalie Morales were honored for their beauty after giving birth.

When it comes to looking good without makeup, Kara DioGuardi, Cindy Crawford and Eva Mendes were among some of the noted celebs.

The mag also honored the beauty of humor with Tina Fey, Portia De Rossi, Amy Poehler, Jimmy Fallon and Rashida Jones laughing their way into the pages of the mag.

A slew of celebs, including Angelina Jolie, Robert Pattinson, Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, Zac Efron, Halle Berry and Gilles Marini, were named to the list for their beautiful smiles.

Young Hollywood stars like Taylor Lautner, Nick Jonas, Miley Cyrus, Dakota Fanning and Dev Patel are some of the stars under 21 who were included in the mag’s annual list.

President Barack Obama inside circle was also honored for their striking beauty. First Lady Michelle Obama, White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel and White House Chef Sam Kass were among a list the mag dubbed “Barack’s Beauties.”

Reality TV stars also represented on the annual list. Melissa Rycroft, Miss USA Kristen Dalton, Miss America Katie Stam and “America’s Next Top Model” winner McKey Sullivan stood out for their beauty.
