LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
There was an electronic music showdown at the Grammy Awards on Sunday between Deadmau5 and Skrillex – and it got personal.
Skrillex beat out Deadmau5 at Sunday’s big show, taking home three awards, including Best Dance Recording and Best Dance/Electronica album, but Deadmau5 appears to have had the last laugh (from inside his mouse head helmet).
Deadmau5 broadcast Skrillex’s personal phone number to the world last night wearing a shirt on the Grammys red carpet with the phone number above the text, “U mad bro?”
Skrillex took to Twitter, laughing off the prank.
“Haha @deadmau5 just wore my phone number on his fokin shirt on tv gotta retire this phone,” the Grammy winner wrote.
But it appears Skrillex attempted to prank his fellow artist by rerouting the calls back to him.
“Nice try with the call forwarding @skrillex ;) one step ahead of you! Ps. Congrats dude! Seriously, so rad!,” Deadmau5 Tweeted.
The mouse head DJ also appears to have made the best of his Grammy-less night.
“No grammys for me. Oh well, I get to hang out with Dave grohl, and that’s pretty… rad!,” he Tweeted.
Find out what it’s like for Deadmau5 to wear his signature mouse helmet, HERE!
