The crowd was jumping and singing along (and so was I) as The White Tie Affair hit the stage at Hollywood’s club Avalon last weekend.
These guys from Chicago have been touring the country ever since their debut album was released in 2008. They spent part of the year opening for Lady Gaga and she certainly has taught them a few things about performance.

A prominent entertainment law firm is suing Rod Stewart for $3.3 million in legal fees it claims he owes.
Glaser, Weil, Fink, Jacobs, Howard & Shapiro filed the case Tuesday in Los Angeles. The firm has numerous high-profile clients and recently won judgments for architect Frank Gehry and television host Bob Barker.

Kris Allen knows he’s not garnering as much attention as Adam Lambert — and that’s OK with him.
Since foiling Lambert at the “American Idol” finale last May, the 24-year-old singer-songwriter from Conway, Ark., has not appeared on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine and declared he’s gay. His music can’t be heard during the credits of the apocalyptic action flick “2012.” And you won’t find him posing in a racy Details photo shoot with a naked woman.
