The settlement was announced Tuesday just before Pastore, 62, was to testify for the second day in Manhattan’s state Supreme Court in the assault trial filed by Lisa Regina, 47.

A trial began Friday in 47-year-old Lisa Regina’s civil assault suit against him. She is asking a Manhattan state Supreme Court jury for unspecified damages for what she calls physical and psychological injuries.

Police say the actor who portrayed the gay lover of a closeted mobster on “The Sopranos” has died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in New York.

Police spokesman Lt. John Grimpel says former New York firefighter John Costelloe was found dead in an apparent suicide at his Brooklyn home on December 18. He reportedly had killed himself two days earlier.

Police were called to his residence after family members were unable to reach him.

A former “Sopranos” actor has been cleared of second-degree murder in the 2005 shooting death of an off-duty policeman.

Lillo Brancato was convicted of a lesser charge of attempted burglary. He faces a minimum of three years in prison on that count, but the former actor could get credit for time servedbecause he has been behind bars about that long.
