Arrest warrants have been issued for actor Randy Quaid and his wife after they failed to appear for a court hearing, a prosecutor said Tuesday.
The couple didn’t show up in a Santa Barbara criminal court Tuesday on a felony charge that they defrauded an innkeeper. The no-show will cost the couple $40,000 in forfeited bail.
It was the most recent in a string of court absences that have resulted in arrest warrants and an aborted attempt to extradite the pair from Randy Quaid’s home state of Texas.

Actors in the touring Broadway smash “Wicked” didn’t let screaming and swearing in the audience ruin their performance in Ohio.
The show’s tour manager, Steve Quinn, says a drunken brawl broke out Tuesday night at a performance in Cleveland. He says understudy Kaye Clark, who was playing the green witch named Elphaba was on stage during one of the show’s quietest moments when the scuffle started.

Randy Quaid was given a ride from a small West Texas jail to get bail money from a bank after the actor and his wife were arrested for allegedly skipping out on a $10,000 California hotel bill, according to the sheriff who drove him.
Quaid and his wife, Evi, each posted $20,000 Thursday night after spending several hours in the jail in Marfa, Presidio County Sheriff Danny Dominguez told The Associated Press.

Lily Allen has lashed out at gossip blogger Perez Hilton after the two engaged in a war of words on the social networking Web site Twitter earlier this week.
